Visa Procedure
The application for the Hungarian Schengen visa is made at the consular department of the Hungarian Embassy or at the visa application center called BLS International. The visa decision is made by the consul at the consular department of the Hungarian Embassy in Baku.
A visa appointment to submit documents to the consulate is scheduled online on the embassy's official website.
In order to submit the documents to the visa center, it is necessary to make an appointment at the visa center by calling +994 12 511 12 18. The visa center accepts documents from Monday to Friday from 8.30 to 14.30 every day.
The visa application can be made no earlier than 3 months before the date of the trip, and personal presence during the application is mandatory. Children under the age of 12 do not need to be brought to the Consular Section of the Hungarian Embassy, as they are not fingerprinted (but a separate appointment should be made for them, as the processing of the application takes time).
The Schengen visa procedure usually takes 10 calendar days (excluding official non-working days related to holidays) from the date of application.
When applying for a visa directly to the consulate, only a visa fee of 35 euros is paid. After the applicant submits his documents to the consulate, he is given a check for the payment of the visa fee. Based on this check, the applicant must make the payment at the main building of the International Bank of Azerbaijan (67 Nizami St.) and present the receipt of the payment to the consulate on the same day.
In case the applicant applies to the visa center, in addition to the 35 euros, 29 euros must be paid for the service fee of the visa center, and this payment is made on the spot when submitting the documents.
Hungary Schengen Visa Probability
Just as when applying for a visa to the embassies of all countries, your chances of getting a visa in Hungary depend on the state of your profile. Your workplace and position should be normal, your monthly income should be in the standard salary range (in experience there have been many cases of obtaining visas for people with monthly income in the range of 300-500 AZN), you should show enough money in your bank account to cover your entire trip, the nuances that bind you to the country (having property in your name) , the presence of your family and children) and your travel history are factors that increase your chances of getting a Hungarian Schengen visa. For those who have not previously held a Schengen visa, the Hungarian embassy is an easier approach and less risky than other embassies. In our experience, the Hungarian embassy is one of the embassies where people with no previous travel history receive the most Schengen visas. However, in any case, the fact that you already have Schengen visas is a factor that increases your chances of getting a visa from the Hungarian embassy.
