Visa Procedure
To get a Greek Schengen visa, apply to the Embassy of Greece in Azerbaijan. The decision on the visa is made by the consul in the consular department of the embassy.
It is possible to schedule a visa appointment to submit documents by contacting the embassy phone number +99412 492 01 19 during the week. Travel dates are taken into account when making an appointment. The later the travel date, the later the meeting time is set.
Note that when you submit the documents, a short interview with the consul is conducted at the embassy. In this interview, you may be asked short questions about yourself, your personal life, your travel plans and goals.
The embassy does not accept documents without making an appointment to submit them. Visa application can be made no earlier than 6 months before the date of the trip. Applicants must be personally present when submitting documents.
The Schengen visa procedure usually takes 5 working days. But the answer may be known sooner or later than 5 working days. This fact should be taken into account when applying.
As a visa fee, 35 euros must be paid in cash in the national currency, i.e. in manats. The manat equivalent of the visa fee is adjusted by the embassy according to the exchange rate of the day.
Greece is likely to get a Schengen Visa
As when applying for a visa at the embassy of all countries, your chances of getting a visa in Greece depend on the state of your profile. Your workplace and position should be normal, your monthly income should be in the standard salary range (in experience, visas have been obtained for people with monthly income in the range of 300-500 AZN, there have been many cases), you should show enough money in your bank account to cover your entire trip, the nuances that bind you to the country (having property in your name) , the presence of your family and children) and your travel history are factors that increase your chances of getting a Greece Schengen visa. The Greek embassy is not considered a high-risk embassy for those who have not previously held a Schengen visa. In our experience, people with no travel history have repeatedly received their first Schengen visas from the Greek Embassy. Of course, for this, all your other documents must be in order. When applying for a business visa, the official letter of invitation you will present can increase your chances of getting a visa. If the purpose and reason for the trip stated in your invitation letter is related to your field of work or if you have made similar business trips before, these nuances will have a positive impact on your profile.
