In addition to tourists, many businessmen make business trips to the country throughout the year. If you also want to travel to Liechtenstein for this purpose and want to do your work, as well as travel and see this country with your own eyes, you can apply for a Liechtenstein business (business visit) visa. You can read more about the documents you will need when applying for a business visa, the letter of invitation and the general visa procedure in this article.

You can travel to Liechtenstein, which is included in the list of Schengen countries, using a Liechtenstein Schengen visa. The reasons for applying for this type of visa can be tourism, visiting family or friends, business trip, medical examination or treatment, short-term study, exchange programs and many other non-permanent nuances. If you want to receive long-term education (such as bachelor's, master's, doctoral studies, etc.) in Liechtenstein with a duration of more than 90 days or to work permanently in an institution located here, if you have official invitation or acceptance letters from those educational and work institutions, you can also apply for a national visa for Liechtenstein. they can apply.

You apply for the "business visa" type of Liechtenstein Schengen visa to realize your short-term business trip. It should be noted that a short-term business visa does not give you the right to work permanently in Liechtenstein, this visa is issued for your own business trip.

Liechtenstein Schengen Visa

Similar to other Schengen countries, the Liechtenstein Schengen visa is available in single-entry and multiple-entry types. In any case, you can also apply for long-term visas, i.e. for three months, six months, one year, two years or five years. After obtaining a Liechtenstein Schengen visa, it is possible to enter any Schengen country. However, in any case, we recommend that you make your first entry into the Schengen area from the country where you received your visa, i.e. Liechtenstein. Otherwise, if you try to enter the Schengen area with a Liechtenstein visa from another country, if you do not mention it during your visa application, even if it is rare, it may become a problem for you, the border service of that country may turn you back and not allow you to enter the country. This experience has been experienced in some cases and therefore we advise you to avoid this risk.

If you apply for a Liechtenstein Schengen visa, you must indicate the maximum number of days you will stay in this country during your trip.

Visa Procedure

liechtenstein embassy

To get a Liechtenstein Schengen visa, apply to the Embassy of Switzerland in Azerbaijan. The visa decision is made by the consul in the consular department of the Swiss embassy. The reason for this is that the consulate of Liechtenstein does not operate in our country.

Visa appointment for submission of documents is taken online from the following link:

The embassy does not accept documents without making an appointment to submit them. The visa application can be made no earlier than 6 months, and no later than 15 days before the date of the trip. Applicants must be personally present when submitting documents. Children under 12 do not need to attend in person or make an additional appointment for them.

The Schengen visa procedure may take 7-10 calendar days from the date of application.

The Schengen visa procedure may take 7-10 calendar days from the date of application.

As a visa fee, 35 euros must be paid in cash in the national currency, i.e. in manats. The manat equivalent of the visa fee is adjusted by the embassy according to the exchange rate of the day.

Chances of Getting a Liechtenstein Schengen Visa

liechtenstein flag

As when applying for a visa at the embassy of any country, your chance of getting a visa in Liechtenstein depends on the state of your profile. Your workplace and position should be normal, your monthly income should be in the standard salary range and higher (in experience, there have been many cases of obtaining visas for people with monthly income in the range of 450-600 AZN), you should show enough money in your bank account to cover your entire trip, the nuances that bind you to the country ( presence of property in your name, family and children) presence and travel history are factors that increase your chances of getting a Liechtenstein Schengen visa. For those who have not previously held a Schengen visa, the Swiss embassy can be considered a relatively risky embassy. Unless the other nuances in your profile (listed above) are at a high level, if you have no travel history, it is risky to make your first Schengen visa application to the Swiss embassy. In any case, having previous Schengen visas is a factor that increases your chances of getting a Liechtenstein visa from the Swiss embassy. When applying for a business visa, the official letter of invitation you will present can increase your chances of getting a visa. If the purpose and reason for the trip stated in your invitation letter is related to your field of work or if you have made similar business trips before, these nuances will have a positive impact on your profile.
