As the cradle of ancient Egyptian civilization, this land is an attractive destination for both tourists and history buffs. Among the most popular places for travelers to Egypt are historical monuments such as the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Luxor Temple and the Ancient Library of Alexandria.

Basic Information for Egypt Visa
Once you have obtained a visa to travel to Egypt, you can plan your tourist or business trip. An Egyptian tourist visa is usually issued to cover the travel dates you specify when applying.
For example, if you plan to stay in Egypt for 7 days, the visa is usually issued to be valid for those dates, with a certain “corridor” period applied.
In addition, you can also apply for a multiple-entry Egyptian visa, which allows you to enter the country several times within a certain period of time.
Documents Required for Egypt Visa Application
When applying for an Egyptian visa, you must submit the following documents:
- Original and a copy of the first page of your foreign passport
- Copy of your ID card
- Reference from your place of work (for those who are studying, a reference from an educational institution)
- 2 3x4 size photos
- Airline tickets and hotel reservations for your trip
- Application form completed in English
- If you are applying for a visa for a business trip, not a tourist one, then an official invitation letter for that work, event or meeting
When applying for an Egyptian tourist visa, it will be enough to submit the above documents to the embassy. Note that the embassy accepts all documents in Azerbaijani, which means that you do not need to have the documents translated into English. If you are an entrepreneur, you can submit a copy of your TIN to the embassy as a document that will replace the certificate from your place of work. If the applicant is under 18 years old, in this case, if he is traveling alone, he must also submit a copy of the document of permission to leave the country from both parents or from the other parent if he is traveling with one of his parents.
Visa Procedure
You apply for an Egyptian visa at the Egyptian Embassy in Baku. There is no need to make an appointment in advance. Your personal presence when submitting the documents is not mandatory. If you use our service, we can apply for a visa at the embassy for you (you can read more about this in the “Egypt Visa Support” section). The visa response is usually issued within 5-7 business days after your application. After your response, you can pick up your passport again from the Egyptian Embassy. The visa fee is 27 USD for a single-entry visa application and 35 USD for a multiple-entry visa application.
Sharm el-Sheikh Border Visa Entry Rules
Sharm el-Sheikh, located on the Sinai Peninsula, is one of Egypt's most popular resort cities, and millions of tourists visit the region every year.
The Egyptian government applies a visa-on-arrival (visa-at-the-door) procedure to citizens of many countries, including Azerbaijan, upon entry to Sharm el-Sheikh. However, this rule is only valid under certain conditions:
- Your trip must be limited to Sharm el-Sheikh.
- Your departure and return flights must be direct from Sharm el-Sheikh airport.
If these rules are not followed, there have been cases where many Azerbaijani citizens who tried to obtain a visa at the border were denied entry into the country because they did not obtain a visa in advance.
Therefore, even if you are only traveling to Sharm el-Sheikh, it is recommended that you obtain an Egyptian visa in advance. This step is essential for the smooth running of your trip and will protect you from possible difficulties.
Possibility of Obtaining a Egypt Visa
Every Azerbaijani citizen who applies for a tourist visa to Egypt has a fairly high chance of receiving a visa. Of course, this chance is considered high if all the documents you submit to the embassy are in order. In our experience, we have not encountered an Azerbaijani citizen who applied for a visa to Egypt and was refused. We would like to emphasize again that having the documents in order is an absolute requirement.
