If you are also coming from Ireland, you can collect all the information about the visa of this country from this article.

You can realize your planned trip to Ireland by obtaining an Irish tourist visa. The reasons for applying for this type of visa can be tourism, visiting family or friends, business trip, medical examination or treatment, short-term study, exchange programs and many other non-permanent nuances. If you wish to study in Ireland for a long-term period of more than 90 days (such as a bachelor's, master's, doctorate, etc.) or work permanently in an institution located here, apply for an Irish national visa if you have official invitations or acceptance letters from those educational and work institutions.

Irish Tourist Visa

The Republic of Ireland is a member of the European Union, but it is recognized as one of the countries not included in the Schengen area.

The island of Ireland itself is divided into two parts. The south of the island is the Republic of Ireland, and the north belongs to the United Kingdom. Anyone wishing to travel to Northern Ireland must apply for a UK visa rather than an Irish visa. Northern Ireland consists of the counties of Antrim, Armagh, Derry, Down, Fermanagh and Tyrone. If a person is traveling to the Republic of Ireland, then to Northern Ireland and back to the Republic of Ireland, this means that they need to obtain two visas: a United Kingdom visa and a multiple entry Irish visa. You cannot enter the Republic of Ireland with a United Kingdom visa either.

Single-entry and multiple-entry Irish visas are available. At the same time, you can apply for a short-term visa, which will cover only your first visit, or multiple-entry and long-term visa types. It varies depending on the purpose of your trip and the interval of your trip.

Note that, in most cases, the Irish visa is issued in accordance with the travel period indicated by the applicant in the application form and other documents during the visa application.

Collection of Documents for Irish Visa Application

When applying for an Irish visa, you must submit the following documents:

Original and copy of the first page of your foreign passport
Copies of your previous visas and entry-exit stamps, if applicable
A copy of your identity card
Reference from the place of work* and, if applicable, an extract from the salary card (for persons studying, a reference from the educational institution) Reference and statement from the bank account in your name. (Detailed information about the amount is mentioned below)
Copies of extracts* of properties in your name and a copy of your car's passport, if applicable
Proof of your marital status* (copy of your marriage certificate if you are married, birth certificates if you have children under 18 or divorce certificate if your marriage has broken down)
2 photos of you, size 3.5x4.5, on a white background
Airline reservations you make for your trip
Hotel reservations you made for your trip
Travel insurance that will fully cover your trip and cover a minimum value of 30,000 EUR
Application form filled in English
A printed version of the document issued from the system on confirmation of appointment
If the visa is applied for a business visit rather than a tourist one, in this case, an official invitation letter related to that work, event or meeting

Documents marked with "*" must be submitted to the embassy in English. If you have obtained the original document in Azerbaijani rather than in English, in this case, each of these documents must be translated into English and certified by a notary and submitted to the embassy.

The amount in your bank account is based on your travel dates, i.e. the length of your stay in Ireland, the price of your booked flight tickets and hotels, etc. varies depending. In general, it is recommended that you have at least AZN 3,500-5,000 in your bank account for a one-week trip (equivalent to Euros or US dollars). This amount should fully cover your travel plan. When calculating the amount, you can sum up the average daily cost of 60-70 euros for each day you indicate that you will be staying in the country with the price of your ticket and hotel reservations and assume a little higher than the figure you received.

If you are an entrepreneur, you can submit the documents that will replace the certificate from the workplace (a copy of the TIN, a certificate issued by the Ministry of Taxes about your turnover, an extract from the register of your company) to the embassy. If you are not working, studying or in any case sponsoring another person to cover the costs of your trip, in this case a copy of that person's identity card, proof of employment (if self-employed, the documents listed above), proof of bank account and statement (this bank account it can be both in your name and in the name of the sponsor), if you have a family bond, a document confirming this (for example, if it is a parent, your own birth certificate, if it is a brother or sister, both of your birth certificates, etc.) and a paper about sponsorship to the embassy must be presented. If the applicant is under 18 years of age, in this case, if he is traveling alone, a copy of the permission document to leave the country from both parents or, if he is traveling with one of the parents, must also be submitted during the visa application.

It should be noted that even if you submit documents such as TIN, turnover certificate from the Ministry of Taxes, extract from the register of your company or sponsorship paper, permission paper, you must have each of these documents translated and certified into English by a notary.

Visa Procedure

The visa application for the Republic of Ireland is made to the VFS Global Ireland visa center located in Azerbaijan. Ireland does not have any diplomatic representation in Azerbaijan, so the decision is made in the consular department of the embassy of the Republic of Ireland located in neighboring Turkey. The Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service (INIS) is the body responsible for immigration and visa issues in Ireland.

It is possible to schedule a visa appointment to submit documents during weekday business hours by contacting the Irish VFS Global visa application center at +994 12 310 57 09.

An appointment is required to submit the documents.

The applicant can apply no earlier than 3 months before the intended trip. The duration of document processing depends on the type of visa applied for, the workload of the embassy and the visa section located in Dublin. Apply as early as possible. It is advisable to apply at least 8 weeks before travel at the latest. The visa process usually takes 4 weeks (excluding non-working days related to holidays).

The visa fee is 128 AZN for a single-entry visa, 213 AZN for a multiple-entry visa, and the service fee of the visa center is 64 AZN. Since the documents are sent to the embassy of the Republic of Ireland in Ankara after the application is accepted, in addition to the visa fee and service fee, an additional AZN 139 courier fee is paid for transporting the documents to Ankara.

Chances of Getting an Irish Visa

As when applying for a visa at the embassy of any country, your chances of getting a visa in Ireland depend on the state of your profile. Your workplace and position are normal, your monthly income is higher than the standard salary range (in experience, visas have been issued to people with a monthly income in the range of 600-700 AZN, there have been many cases), you have enough money in your bank account to cover your entire trip, the nuances that bind you to the country (your name availability of property, family and children) and a good travel history are factors that increase your chances of getting an Irish visa. Applying for an Irish visa is considered risky for people with no previous travel history, i.e. no Schengen or other visa holders. If the other points in your profile (listed above) are very high and in good standing, you may have a chance to get an Irish visa even without a travel history. In any case, a good travel history is a direct factor in your obtaining an Irish visa.
